My Dear Readers: I can't express how much it means to me to hear from so many of you and to know that the characters that I've created have become your friends and that you're anxious to know what the future holds for them. When I finished writing Tom & Lauren's story, I was faced with a dilemma: who do I write about next? Sabrina and William―he won many hearts when he appeared in Love With a Scandalous Lord. Lady Anne who would find true love with her Mr. Lacey. Lady Alice who would finally have the opportunity to go on adventures―with a scoundrel named Jack who would win her heart. Samantha, Amy, Millicent, Emily . . . they all have stories that tease me and haunt me and want to be written. After much thought, and with a bit of sadness, I've decided to leave them all behind for now, with their stories left untold. A new set of characters have been calling to me, more strongly than those you've already met, and so I've decided that I need and want to tell their stories. I'm very excited about beginning a new series set in Victorian London and I hope you'll welcome these characters into your hearts when the time comes. I'm calling the series Rogues and Roses. The Rogues are Hawk, Alex, and Michael. The Roses are Louisa, Jenny, and Kate. I'm writing their stories now and so far, I'm having a wonderful time getting to know them. The heroes are dark, dashing, and tormented. The heroines are strong willed and determined and the perfect match for each hero. You can learn more about this series as I'm writing it by visiting my Rogues and Roses page. I've heard from so many of you who enjoyed my contemporaries and want to know if I'm going to continue writing them. I hope so, but I've been so busy with the historicals and young adult novels that I haven't had time to truly devote to writing a contemporary. I hope to find time in the near future. Meanwhile, keep watching my website or subscribe to my monthly newsletter by sending a blank message to lorraine_heath-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Happy Reading! Lorraine PS. BUT WHAT ABOUT RAWLEY COOPER? I have received more inquiries about Rawley, the young boy who first appeared in TEXAS GLORY, than I have about any other character. I do hope to someday write his story, but for now, he, too, regretfully, must wait. |
